Answer» i formatted by laptop and now cannot get online. its windows vista on a dell laptop. it doesnt even notice when i put the ethernet cable in. i know its not a cable problem because my computer works. im not sure if theres some drivers on a disc i need to install? i may have lost the disc or something, i dk. Go to the Dell driver site...enter your Service tag # from the back of the machine.... theres loads to download though, im not even sure i need them. i downloaded somethin from there but it justunzipped on my laptop and thats it. ive got a disc called dell drivers and utilities but it appears to just be a kind of GUIDE when ive put it in my laptpThats your driver CD alright... Read thru the guide and follow the info on installing your network drivers... Remember to reboot afterwards. |
