Solve : cant get past log in screen?

can someone pls help me... i cannot get PAST the log in screen; u click to log on, it looks like its loading, then it kicks right back to log in screen... i have TRIED logging in on admin n all accts, the DESKTOP looks like its loading, before any icons come on it goes right back to log in screen. ide appreciate any advice w this matter. thanksCan you log in on Safe Mode?um, what do I do for that? HIT F-something when I start to boot it up, right? F-what? Repeatedly tap F8 when the machine is starting...no, it does the same thing in safe modeok first which OS r u using
