I have a windows xp... and when I've turned it on it comes up with the log on screen, where u press ctrl, alt & del.... but when i press these keys nothing happens... this PC has all my work on it & i cant access it.... any ideas? In the log on screen, does Windows asking for your Username & Password or Windows asking you to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete ?A Window Asking Me To Press Ctrl Alt Del... But When I Press It, It Does Nothing, Ive CHECKED My Key Board Is All PLUGGED In Ect... Well, you could try "Last known good configuration" or "Safe Mode" from the Windows Advanced Options Menu.

Use the F8 function key during system startup to access the Windows Advanced Options menu. Tap the F8 key once or twice per second as you startup the computer (or immediately after POST completes and screen flashes black prior to displaying Windows XP logo with its processing bar DISPLAY).

When the Windows Advanced Options menu comes up, use the up/down ARROW keys to select "Last known good configuration".

If that doesn't GET you in, try "Safe Mode".
Just for the heck of it, try a different keyboard.
