Answer» i m using win'xp. windows can't go to the desktop automatically.it becomes hang in the welcome screen.i have to press alt+ctrl+delete and from taskmanager i have to run desktop. in desktop it shows '/idlist,:0:1916,c:\documents' windows can't run. what can i do.Go into CMOS using the FKey 1or2, sometimes it's delete on AMD...Make sure your HARD Drive settings are configured right, check your cable to HDD..REMEMBER to ground yourself ESD, You MIGHT also try F7orF8, getting to "LastKnownGoodConfig" before I put in the OS disc/restore disc for help booting...Is this the same machine that had shutdown ISSUES and lost the Control PANEL ? ? If so i would suggest backing up your data and doing a clean install of XP... Make sure to locate all your drivers first. Are you on wireless network?
