Solve : Catalyst Control Center gone after driver update?

Answer»

I ran a driver update software last night to see what was out of date on my computer. I noticed it said my ATI card NEEDED updated, so I did. Anyway I had Catalyst control center INSTALLED, and shortly after the update it was gone. I have tried about five times to re install it, although every TIME it finishes and SAYS successful install, it's NOWHERE on my computer! I have no idea what's going on, if anyone can help I'd appreciate it. Oh yeah my OS is Vista 64bit

ThanksSorry there is a big difference between needing something changing and just changing for the sake of it. Quote from: Mulreay on June 11, 2009, 03:22:48 PM

I just wanted to know why it was deleted, and why I can't get it back. I updated the drivers because my software said to. And for some reason this changed alot of programs, and settings on my computer. I'm not a computer expert, so I just followed what it told me to do. I don't just change things for the sake of it, I followed instructions and this is what happened.Driver updates are not always a good thing. Who told you to update the driver?Try a System Restore. My father, he doesn't know much more than me, but he does know more. So I just figured. But thanks for the tip, I'll remember that. Quote from: Karnac on June 11, 2009, 03:59:27 PM
Try a System Restore.
