Answer» I'm TRYING to do a simple COPY and paste of a powerpoint presentation.
I'm trying to copy the presentation from my harddrive (C) drive to my CD drive (M).  I have a zip drive in my (D) drive.
I get this message: M:\ is not accessible.  The device is not ready.
Please help me "make it ready".  I've tried systems/performance/file system and re-booting several times.
Please help.  It "should" be a simple copy and paste. Thank you.You can't just copy and paste files to your CD writer from Explorer. You need to use software such as Nero or if you want a free utility TRY Deepburner (Google for it). That function is only avaible in WINDOWS XP.
If you have Windows XP installed, donot try to save your Power Point presentation to your M: station, but drop and drag it.
Be certain that the CD you are using is completely EMPTY. Using software such as Nero can verify wheter it's empty or not for you.
You may need to download the Imapi update from Windows Update.maybe windows media player 9/10will do it>http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/home/using/productdoc/en/default.asp?url=/windowsxp/home/using/productdoc/en/player_overview_formats.asp   it also contains burning software...
