Solve : CD Drive messed up...?

Answer»

I left a cd in the drive and my computer wanted to reboot from this software..I removed it and WINDOWS started but why is is wanting to reboot from the cd drive?Inside the system BIOS is a list of devices the system shoud use to boot from. Your CD drive is higher on the list than the hard drive.

This is not a bad thing. While checking a DEVICE for boot media that is not there will increase your boot time (slightly), your order of boot devices will come in very handy if a serious problem arises.Like zzyzx SAID, your BIOS sees that there is a utilities CD in the drive, and usually, these CDs boot your computer, INCASE your computer can not boot by itself. It's nothing to worry about, it's PERFECTLY normal...
