Solve : CD-KEY IS NOT WORKING?

Answer»

I own a small internet cafe in our town, I have all the license required, I'm running WindowsXP version 2002 service pack 2. I think it is a nature of the cafe that you are infected of virus any time. Every time that my computer is infected i reformat and reinstall all the software required, after 30 days i need to activate my WINDOWS. Before i can activate it, but now i can't activate my windows anymore, it say"s "According to our records, the number of times you can activatewindows with this product keyhas been exceeded. Please enter a different product key, and then click "retry". what is that? any one have an idea what shall i do this problem? You'll have to call Micro$oft to get new key.i try it man thak's for the advice...You're welcome The key you get from Microsoft will likely have similar restrictions as the key you already have, or it will be the same key but you can use it for a limited number more times. And then you will have to call Microsoft up again for more rights. Preventing the reinstall is therefore a very good idea because "Micro$oft" will sell you a new key or more copy rights with the current key.
I will admit that I am not entirely familiar with the business of internet cafes and so I don't know how extreme you can go to keep from having sick computers. It is recommended that all computers have a virus blocker/scanner and that the scanner should be ran a regular intervals. If you don't have one and/or don't run it already, there is something WRONG with you. Judging by the use of the singular computer, I'm guessing that this is a company computer for bookkeeping and the like. That computer should be isolated from your costumer computers.
If it is costumer computer you are referring to, I think you shouldn't allow costumers to store data/programs on your computer hard drives. I recommend a program called Deep Freeze. Deep Freeze will not allow any changes to the state of the hard drive whatsoever, with the exception of physically MOVING data around. No settings can be altered and no data stored unless you, the admin, say otherwise. Deep Freeze is made by Faronics.
If costumers want to store data on your computers, you could sell hard drive space on a server that is scanned at very frequent intervals, like on the hour.Thank's for the advice, i have a Deep freeze, i installed it on my computer, but after 4-5 months of used, that said software doesn't work, i EXPERIENCE it many time, i try to store files on my drive and restart the computer, when i open the computer that said files doesn't disappear, why? do you have any idea? the deep freeze is on the "BOOT FROZEN"My only KNOWLEDGE of the software is on the receiving end of program. And the two semesters of Tech Support with my school district. In that 9 months, I don't recall a Deep Freeze failing. And if one did, I was only there for a seventh of the day and I couldn't work on it because I was a student. Call up either Faronics or Emmett Tech Support.
Your long sentence is not exceedingly helpful. I think there are some comma splices and some misused words; my English teacher was not very fond of either of those. If I read it right, it looks like after 4-5 months of use, the program stopped working either by report of a program or discovery of extra stuff. You then moved the files off of the afflicted computer and rebooted. The files did not stay away on the other computer. Sounds like you cut and pasted and that got turned into a copy and paste. I think something lies because the files were restored as a functioning Deep Freeze would do. It is possible that SOMEONE guessed the password right or the admin didn't turn Deep Freeze back on correctly.sorry for the bad English
