Solve : CD Rom drive problem? |

Answer» HI every body i am trying to reload windows 98se onto a HP Brio computer. i have dowloaded a boot disk and after booting from the boot disk everything seems fine untill i try to access the CD Rom drive. i can change to the drive OK but if i try to use the dir command or any other command i get an error message as follows CDR101: Not READY reading drive d Abort, RETRY, Fail Can any one tell me what this means. I have tried different drivers etc all come back to the same error message. Thanks turtleIf i press "f" for Fail i get the message: Fail on INT 24 turtleok cd rom stuffed changed cd rom drive for another one and all worked perfectly cheers turtle |
