Answer» I was using a program to change the SID of my computer, and while it was changing I accidentally pressed "cancel." This caused several files to be missing from my computer, a LOT of programs have files missing, causing them not to work. I tried using System Restore, but that didn't get my files back. Is there any way to fix this problem without having to re-install WINDOWS XP?Why did you want to change the SID? I was trying to install the "cracked" version of Windowblinds 6. ^^;;Ah well... This is a very strictly anti-piracy forum. I don't know what program you used to try to change your SID (PLEASE don't post its NAME here) but I think you have now learned an important lesson.
