Answer» I am using a friend's borrowed computer(mine is down due to a malfunctioning Windows start up, may post about this as well), so added a Guest account, but when it starts up it automatically logs on to the ADMINISTRATOR account and I have to log off and back into the Guest account. On my computer it would load up into the 'welcome users' screen and then clicked on to an account. I have checked Help in Windows and looked for other questions here, but the closest I have gotten is info on how to turn off/on the Welcome screen.
Thank you for any consideration and reply on this.
Windows XP (just noticed the 'face' in that ) Compaq Presario AMD Athlon2600+ 256 Ram 40(32.2)GB had drive (down to 127 MB, almost MAXED)There is a setting to log in automatically which must be set on your friends computer.
CLICK Start, Run and TYPE CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2, and click OK. Check the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer option", and click Ok.
Thanks for the reply, but I was in chat shortly after I posted this and...shoot, forgot their name...I shortened the name to LC (Loud...something?)...anyway, we troubleshot and figured I could start a new admin user account and it would load up in the welcome users screen and it did! We got into troubleshooting another problem, LC was very kind and helpful, and I forgot to come back here and let y'all know...sorry!
Love this site and clean and easy chat feature! Thank you all!
Peace....
