Solve : Chkdsk help?

Answer»

Hello, I am a Linux user and I have been Windows free for over 2 years. RECENTLY I was FORCED to maintain a dual boot to run a windows application to which there was no Linux alternative and wine did not work. My problem is that After installing Windows with my recovery disc, I resized the partition and installed Sabayon Linux. Everything was fine until I booted into windows. I was greeted with a Scan Disk error. It tried to check my disks but then it says "an UNSPECIFIED error occurred." I booted into safemode and was able to run chkdsk and it found nothing wrong. After running it again with the fix all errors OPTIONS, it says it cannot lock that disk. Then I ran chkntfs C: /C and it says that Ntfs is dirty. How can this be fixed ? Thanks.Maybe this will help: Microsoft Windows XP - Fsutil.  It has some INFO on the "dirty bit".
