Answer» 1 GB is around 50 BUCKS or so.. I'm on a really tight budget right now, I can ALWAYS upgrade it later if I want right?Yep...i'd go for 2 of the 512's for $44 bucks and it should be a happy machine... Make sure it is the proper type...184 Pin covers an awful LOT of memory types....and you can play with your budget, by buying ONE 512MB now, and another one later. If you buy one 512MB + 256MB (existing one) = 768MB, twice what you have now. You'll see the difference.so i already have the computer back, and i never even got a chance to tell him what i WANTED. anyway, he left the two sticks of 64 MB in there, and added two sticks of 128 MB so now i have 384 MB. it works for me, faster than before, and it was free
