Answer» I am running XP-Sp 2 but this problem started before SP2 was installed. I am unable to paste anything but a current SCREENSHOT due to my clipboard being filled with screenshots.
This happens INTERMITTENTLY and at different capture rates but 90% of the time it is taking about 2-3 screenshots per second, even in safe mode.
I have been running updated Nortons, Spybot, Ad-Aware se, P-Cillin Housecall etc. all to no avail. I have tried removing the print screen key too.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. To me smells of a usage logging tool. They're normally used by paranoid parents and draconian bosses to see exactly what their kids/employees are doing. Essentially, it sounds like a fancier keylogger type app.
Normally though, an spyware remover will flag this up. It might be worth getting a HijackThis! log from you at this point, to see what is running. Click Here to download HT!. Run it, get a log FILE of what is running and post it here.
For God's sake, don't do anything else in that app! Most of it will probably be legit! Here it is, it takes some quick work to paste this in.
