|
Answer» Resetting the bios, had no affect. I went to display settings, . screen saver, power options at the ADVANCED tab and set it to do nothing when I close the lid or hit the sleep button. I will update you tomorrow.Sounds like a short in the laptop as the only time you lose time is when you close the lid...Quote from: patio on January 08, 2010, 11:02:05 PM Sounds like a short in the laptop as the only time you lose time is when you close the lid...Very possible! Clock was current tonight when I got home. Well see what it does tomorrow.Clock is still current. Changing that setting to keep it from logging off the user when the lid is closed must have worked. Now I need to find out why it is not keeping time while logged off. Aynone have any ideas?Bump for some new ideas on this.Same Problem with my computer u just gotta get used 2 itIgnore the above.Quote from: patio on January 08, 2010, 11:02:05 PM Sounds like a short in the laptop as the only time you lose time is when you close the lid... I CONCUR. It SEEMS like it's somewhere between the CMOS battery and...wherever... ...fixing it's probably going to be a PITA, and will probably require some part hunting (motherboard being most likely). |
