And please, could people not refer to crackers and SCRIPT kiddies as "hackers" from now on? The term "hacker" was given to the scientists who basically invented the internet as we know it today, and is now used as a term for a very SKILLED programmer. It's a term overused in the media and it really irritates me. Thank you.with the firewall block the kernel32. dll file...and its a white hat... Quote With a properly configured firewall, you should be fine. You must have loved the movie 'Hackers and Hackers 2'. Appearently, all developers pick 'god' as a password.I just love pretty much every movie and TV show which has a computer in it... Anyway, sorry about all that. Just had to vent my spleen. Quote I just love pretty much every movie and TV show which has a computer in it... There was an article in the newspaper complaining about computers in movies. Apparantly, script writers can't be bothered to THINK up decent endings so someone pulls out a laptop or computer and can magically HACK their way into the main system bypassing passwords with override commands, or access top-secret FBI records, or find the names of all one-legged people in a city just like that. |
