Solve : College laptop using XP? |

Answer» Recently purchased a Dell (can't find any model #) laptop. Shows to be using XP Pro. It can't be real old as it has SATA hard drive. Wish to install Zorin, but can't get into BIOS without password. Any suggestions about how to work around? Quote Wish to install Zorin, but can't get into BIOS without password DEPENDING on the age of the laptop it might be able to be reset by removing the cmos battery and then plugging cmos battery back in. However if its too new, its locked for good and REQUIRES the BIOS FLASH ROM to be replaced because its in lock out mode, and while some are socketed, most are soldered onto the main BOARD. |
