Answer» I am attempting to install the updated WMP, but it will not allow me to finish the installation SAYING to log in as the Computer Administrator. The user NAME I typically use has Computer Administrator under it when I LOOKED at the User Accounts in the Control Panel. I also tried making a new account with Adm. RIGHTS but it still did not work. I also entered safe mode to attempt it, but WMP would not open in safe mode. I have tried searching for an answer but not found my situation so hopefully no one has asked this question before. Thanks for anyone that answers. How are you trying to update it? Is it WMP 10 and if so which one do you have? I downloaded it off the internet and it was installed properly, I think. I updated to Version 10 and I am not sure which version I had before. I am assuming I need to be the computer administrator to "finalize" the installation??? But right now WMP won't open/play at all. Should I just delete and start over? |
