Solve : Command Prompt Issue? |
|
Answer» I right clicked on the command prompt one DAY, chose properties, clicked the "options" tab, and under the display options, selected "full screen" simply so that I could run the command prompt in full screen. When I got tired of full screen and decided to go back to the "window" option, the command prompt no longer ran in full screen, and ran in window mode again. The unfortunate part is that programs (such as batch files) that run using the command prompt, start up in full screen. So, if I were to open up "randomfile.bat", it would run into full screen until I use Alt+Enter. This is the same for other programs that utilize the command prompt, including installation programs. When I do properties on the command prompt, the "window" selection is still selected, and there are no options in batch file properties. This has also become an issue in other forms of scripting. The screen goes black for a second, then RETURNS to normal as if nothing ever happened when I execute certain programs. So if you have any IDEA how to make so that the Command Prompt always runs in window form, any help is appreciated of course. I use Windows XP.Find command in Windows Explorer in the WiNNT/System32 folder...right clik it and select create SHORTCUT. Drag the newly created shortcut to the Desktop. |
