Hi I posted before but the help I tried did not work. I am ready to scrap the info on this system and start all over by reinstalling windows 95 I have the instilation CD but I have no way to make this computer boot from CD. I tried a boot disk but if I type in the directory for the CD driver it says dirve has no volume.

What do I do next?

you have been in the BIOS and there is no option to boot from the CD drive?

The file you download creates a floppy disk.You will need to make
that disk on a computer with a 3.5 floppy disk drive.

Double click on the file you download and it will say"Insert Floppy To Write'.I tried both the original and the version B;

but NOTHING seems to happend I also tried to use both of them to start up then switched to the Cdrive and tried to boot windows. This did not work either.

You need to run the setup prgram on the CDROM, so why are you switching to the C drive?
I think the cdrom is D:\ but when I switch there and try setup I get nothing if I try typing dir /p I get the message;

Volume in drive D has no label
Volume Serial Number is 205D-14E1
Directory of D:\

Flike not found

466,206,720 bytes free


I also tried drive R results in;

CDR101: Not ready reading drive R
Abort, Retry, Fail?

Went ahead and tried if for about the 5th time seems to read the CD for the DIR but if I do setup it says CD101: Not redy reading drive R
Abort Retry Fail?

Okay this will not work with the V2 Disk because it seems not to even try to read the CD.

Iam going to keep trying until I can not stand it I will be back on here later tonight. Thanks for the help so far I will let you know what happens after I try this a few hundred times.Back to square one I tried it about 20 different ways before I tried sticking the CD in this computer it has micro scratches on the lable side so what looks like a good Win 95 CD is not....



HHHHmmmm ..... I am willing to go with LINUX or try anything. I guess I am open to any and all suggestions.

How can we change this file name? That is all I have to do and then it will work again!?

I am sorry but I am so excited I am going to post this in the Dos part too to see if I can get something tonight.
