Solve : Complete computer crashes?

Answer»

Not sure if this is a Windows problem or hardware, nevertheless, here's the problem:

At random MOMENTS my computer crashes completely (sound goes to *censored*, keyboard doesn't respond, screen shows gibberish [as shown in the pictures I will link]) and I can't seem to find the culprit... chkdisk and /scannow came up clean, memtest - clean, CPU stress test - clean... Reinstalled my Win7 over 12 times in the last 2 weeks now... I'm at my wits end, any suggestions how to act further ?

Sorry for low quality images - my camera lens is cracked...Post re-opened by REQUEST...Looks like the main board of that laptop might be troubled. Unfortunately because its a laptop you are very limited to the ability to troubleshooting it down to a video card etc. I see LOTS of info on google about this model and scrambled displays, which is usually a good indication that this is a common issue with this model.

I cooked a Toshiba laptop about 4 years ago PLAYING World of Warcraft and other games on it, and fortunately Toshiba's warranty was still active on it to send it back RMA. It was running very hot gaming and I ignored the heat issue and I ended up roasting the GPU to the point of failure. It started by giving me warning signs and I continued to game on it and killed it as a result of this. Do you know if this laptop has ever ran really hot on you before? Any locations that were very hot to the TOUCH, such as the underside of the laptop in any locations.

I probably could have avoided killing my Toshiba had I used a cooling pad to add extra airflow to the underside of the company laptop. Thanks for the reply, seems like this problem is connected to my other problems that I have another topic on, I installed the motherboard drivers yesterday tho I had no time to test it extensively, gonna do it this weekend but so far it looks promising
