Hi everyone, on bootup (right before it loads the xp) I hear a long continous beeping sound. I did some GOOGLE searching, but it still didn't make much sense. Thanks.try a DIFRENT keyboardWe need to know what the exact sound is like, length of beep, number of beeps, etc. Quote from: trooper123 on September 06, 2009, 06:42:12 PM

long continous
ether stuck key or keyboard failure is USUALLY what a long contuies beep iisturn off your computer then unplug your keyboard then turn it back on i wouldn't recommend this if you have to type in a password to go into windows so you can shut it off without having to turn it off by hand if it doesn't beep it's proabably one of keyboard keys are stuck btw guys I have some more info. Did a little researching and whatever key i press, as long as I press enoguh keys, the computer will startup. Ex. tap all the directional keys enough(around 5 secs) and it'll finish that screen and move on. So, what's wrong?bad keyboardthe keyboard seems to work fine though. Is there anything I can do to fix it? btw it's a wireless keyboard, if that matters?Take out what ever key is sticking and put it back in if you don't know which one is sticking take out all the keys and put them back in
go to work pad type the alphibet and all the numbers and see if a letter is stuck if not that take out all the keys that are not in the alphibet or numbers and put them back incan you barrow a wired keyboard and try that

*censored* -- thats terriable adviceI might do the take out all the keys ADVICE, if it works(will it work?). I'll try unplugging the wireless reciever and see what happens. hope this isn't spam (posting twice in a row), but its the keyboard . I tried a couple things in relation to it, but it's the keyobard. Is there anyway to fix it?well if it didn't beep when you STARTED without the keyboard one of the keyboard keys are stuck if you took um all out and put them back in there's not much you can do did you check the keyboard were you plug it into the computer maybe a wire got bent then straghting it out

if you find the key that's stuck and you keep putting back in and it's countinues to get stuck i'm not sure there's much else you can do besides take out the key Found the key, thanks everyone, would have never guessed keyboard what key was it?
