Pri Master Hard disk: S.M.A.R.T Status BAD, Backup and Replace Press to Resume
is there any problem with my hard disk ? is my hard disk at the verge of failure ? is there any remedy for this problem ? please help me out. S.M.A.R.T. is the hard drive's own internal diagnostics tool. If it is telling you to backup and replace it is not a good sign. I would do what it says and backup any important data immediately. What is the make and model of the hard drive and how OLD is it? To determine whether the hard drive is in fact failing, I recommend you test it with the diagnostics utility from the manufacturer of the hard drive.

You will have to check with Samsung whether or not the drive is still under warranty. Depending on the model it may have up to a 5 year warranty. You can test the HEALTH of your hard drive by downloading the diagnostics utility from Samsung. Find your hard drive on the site below to download the utility. http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDownMain.do
