Solve : computer does not recognize iPod?

Answer»

the computer does not recognize the iPod after login, the iPod is out of power, but turn on when PLUGIN to the computerdo you have all of the necessary ipod software installed? Is iTunes installed? What iPod do you have (Touch, CLASSIC, Nano, etc.), including the generation if you know?

If you have an iPod wall charger (does not come with the iPod), then charge it using the wall charger. If you do not, then leave the iPod on the computer connected for an extended period of TIME. iPods can get fussy when not totally charged when you connect them to the computer. Also make SURE that you have the iPod software needed (iTunes). It can be obtained from http://www.apple.com/itunes/.

Finally, once iTunes has been started up, see if the iPod is recognized by iTunes.

Hope that mammoth response helps Quote from: ThomasTheXPUser on October 20, 2010, 04:44:31 PM

What difference would that make?Quote from: Allan on October 20, 2010, 04:55:27 PM

If you are helping someone, knowing if it is a touch or nano (big difference) can matter in my opinion. Maybe not idk No, it would make no difference at all
