Answer» Its an ACER brand computer with a built in wireless adapter. It is running XP, latest version.
Was using a different ISP before and had a linksys router. Now I switched to ATT wireless but when I disconnected the linksys router and switched to the ATT wireless router, my computer cant see my wireless connection.
Why is this HAPPENING, what should I do to get it working
Did you run the Wireless Network Setup Wizard in Control Panel ? ? The new router NEEDS to be setup first to use it. Your card is probably still trying to acquire the OLD router...patio: ILL try that but how do I use the network setup wizard to reconfigure the card to LOOK for the new router and not the old one
Did you recieve any instructions with the new router ? ?
NOTE" you DO NOT have to use AT&T's software to set this up properly...patio: I had received instructions with my router but i guess they got misplaced when i moved. Anyway the network setup wizard doesnt ask for anything, it just seems to search for a network on its own
when i run it, will it cause the card o recognize the new router and not the old one?
