Answer» Hello, I'm trying to install a fresh COPY of Windows Vista on a fresh HDD. It is an Acer Aspire Laptop, 250GB HDD, and 4GB RAM. I removed the old HDD and replaced it with the brand new one. After I boot from the Vista CD, it says windows is loading files. I then see a scroll bar similar to the one when XP is booting up. It moves a few TIMES and then nothing. I let it sit here for about an hour or so and nothing happened. I never saw the HDD light FLASH one time. Please help. Thanks.Try with only 1 stik of RAM installed... There have been reported issues with installing Vista on more than 2G of RAM. The RAM can be re-installed after a succesful OS install.
