Answer» I've been having a hard time figuring this out and cannot find it anywhere on the web on how to fix it, so I was hoping that SOMEONE here might know.
For the last month or so, my computer monitor displaces what is on the screen when playing video files (wmv, avi, ETC but not in games or youtube oddly ENOUGH) and occaisionally when viewing still images online. I have no IDEA what is causing this, I've scanned, screened, debugged, defragmented and everything and this problem won't go away and it's extremely bothersome.
It is specific to video files being played in any video player or video editor, but not to embedded video (youtube) or in games. It occaisionally occurs when viewing still pictures online on some websites. I can't figure it out -- when I VIEW such, my screen kind of goes wonky and flashy, and images are duplicated or shifted around on screen before reverting back and forth.
Help!? Try a different monitor, and try your monitor on a different computer. After that you will know where the problem lies. I must say it sounds like the monitor is faulty.
Thanks, I'll try that right now and see what happens
