Answer» I recently downloaded an demom software program from a website. After a few days I uninstalled the program because it wasn't what I wanted. However, everytime I boot up my computer now, the internet explorer turns on and goes to the company's website to purchase the software. Also, a message box is displayed stating the DEMONSTRATION Software has expired and must now be purchased. I have tried to quarantine every cookie. Is it in the Autoexec.bat file? Where is it launching from? I cannot find it. What OS are you using? What web site is this? And what's the program's name? What protection do you have? Have you updated your virus defintions and run a scan in Safe Mode? Do that if you haven't ALREADY done so. Also, download CCleaner (install without Yahoo! TOOLBAR) and clean up with that.
