hi,
 turned on my laptop and can't seem to connect to the net.. i could this morning but can't now. these are a few of the things that are coming up
* FAILED TO CONNECT. CHECK WIRELESS DEVICE OR THE SETTING OF THE NETWORK CONNECTION"
* WINDOWS CAN'T FIND ANY NETWORKS
* the windows wireless service is not running on this computer

i have tried with 2 different internets and both don't work.. also i can't use windows help and support as it won't open and i can't even turn on my firewall... nothing is working.... i tried to switch users and it took ages to load and said WINDOWS COULD NOT CONNECT TO THE SYSTEM EVENT NOTIFICATION SERVICE. any ideas?? PLEASE i'm desperate... i have windows vista.. thankyou x Quote

Check to see if you did not turn off the WLAN adapter with a switch on your laptop. (Refer to your MANUAL if you are not SURE where this switch may be if it is there at all)

See if the Wireless Zero configuration-service is enabled under START -> Run -> services.msc if you connect to a wireless network USING the Windows configuration menu.
