Answer» I blew my Compac Pressario out with compressed air and when plugged in to power source the front switch light doesn't light. The small green light at the back of CPU flashes on and off. Computer won't even turn on now. thanksI'm guessing you inadvertently LOOSENED something. I'd check to make sure all boards are properly seated and all connections are secure. If that's not it, you may WANT to try a different power supply.The front HEADER wires that run the power and LED's on the front of the case are pretty fragile...you probably blew 1 or more of them off. That sounds like a failing hard drive to me...Yep. Clicking sounds are generally from a dying hd.The clicking is coming from the power supply box. Borrow one of the same or greater wattage from a friend and swap it in there then... |
