Over the past few days my COMPUTER has been restarting itself more and more frequently. Nothing specific sets it off but at any time it will just shut off and reboot, but once it starts I cant even get past my log on screen before it does it again. I have to turn it off, completely for at least an hour before it will go back on again. Also, sometimes when I try to boot it back up my computer looks like its turned on but nothing is coming through on it (my monitor goes to sleep like my computer isn't even on!) Not sure if its a virus, so I recently bought a new virus SCAN, Kaspersky, but i cant keep my computer on long enough to get a FULL scan in, and furthermore Kaspersky will not stay "updated", so it keeps telling me my computer is at risk. I have also tried running it in safe mode but it still shuts itself off. Any help on this is greatly appreciated, I have no idea what to do! ThanksAnything strange happen lately ?......... like screen freeze ups or say less frequent random boots leading up to the CURRENT PROBLEMS.........good chance its your power supply.....try swap in a known good unit....if you stubbed a toe against the case lately check that the cpu and memory haven't been dislodged.How much time can you keep it up in Safe Mode?
It may be overheating.
