My computer is an ACER Extensa 4630Z. It has 3GB of RAM and has a Dual Core Processor.

My computer keeps restarting after reaching the Configuration update page. On the page, it says,

"Configuring updates stage 3 of 3: 0% completed, please do not turn off your computer"

It stays at that page for a short while, after chick it goes back to the beginning where it displays the acer logo and the whole process is repeated.

This keeps occurring indefinitely. I only just found out about it(12/12/2009, about 8.30pm, GMT +8) and I don't know what to do. I've tried turning it off then turning it on again, after which I follow the start-up repair process where I restore my computer. This does not solve the problem.

My last actions were downloading and installing League of Legends and letting it run a Windows update, but I have no idea what the updates were for.

Can someone please help me? It appears the Windows Updates are not installing properly. At boot press F8 REPEATEDLY until you get to the startup options screen, then choose "Last Known Good Configuration" and reboot. Does that work? And what is your OS please?oh yeah, sorry about that. Windows Vista.

I have a WINDOWS VISTA ACER it do the same thing. it ben doing it for about 2 WEEK. have you fix it if so will you LET me no how please.
