My computer suddenly started running very slowly YESTERDAY, so I decided to restart it, but that didn’t help. It’s been going so slow that EVEN normal sounds like the Windows start up sound are skipping when they play, and my mouse has been jumping all over the PLACE when I try to use it. I’ve since tried restarting the computer multiple times, I’ve scanned my computer for viruses and spyware (with AVG) and it came up clean, and I defragmented it, but still no luck. Also, all my programs have been using their normal amount of SYSTEM memory, but for some REASON their CPU usage has been through the roof. It’s not just one program, any one of them are using up to 100% of the CPU when you try to use them. So what might be going on?1. Please, post some computer info:
- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows key, hit Pause/Break key)
- hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties")
