My COMPUTER installs and finalizes windows xp... then it goes to a blank screen and stays there...ok we need more information....

what did you do before this?? just install xp???

do you have a REAL windows cdYes, I have a real cd. during inst. I go to a screen with partition information. I deleted the partition and created a new one... since I had windows ME... prior... When I power down the pc. and restart... it goes back to restarting installation

When you removed the old partition , did XP format the hard drive ?


dl65 I'm using the full version... YES and xp did format the driveAfter XP installs and re-boots to finalise things don't hit the prompt to "boot from CD" the 2nd time...just let it run.I did not... After finalizing... it goes to a blank screen...How do I remove the partial installation of xp from my computer ?...
