Answer» My COMPUTER Vista64bit labtop 2.53 dual core 4 gigs of ram 512 video card.
Hey folks RECENTLY iv noticed I have been getting around 25% of the fps of what I used to when I try to play any of my games (counterstrike, WoW etc etc.) this just started happening tonight. I dont think its a driver issue as the games I play have been running smoothly ever since i got my labtop unless i changed something without noticing(which i dont think happened). I am currently googling all the exe's on my process bar to make sure i dont have a virus. Any SUGGESTIONS as to what may be the problem? If not a configuration or malware issue eating up resources if your laptop is running too hot it will thermalthrottle the CPU and GPU to run cooler. This will slow the system down. Another thing to check is go into the BIOS and see if power saving features are ENABLED. Most power saving features will underclok the CPU and GPU to use less power. Set the onfiguration to maximum performance with no regard to saving battery life and see where that brings you. (( Have your laptop powered with the AC adapter attached for a configuration like this as for the system is ready like a drag car at the light tree waiting for green to go as for it USES much more electricity and battery life will be reduced even when idle just like a drag car revved up waiting to launch off the line drinking lots of fuel. ))
