My computer always turns itself on after i shutdown,
i have done the BIOS thing where you have to turn all the awake options off but it still KEEPS turning itself on, and it is getting really ANNOYING.
Please HELP  Are you SURE it's shut down?  If you are, then it might be a dirty contact on the startup button. 

How long after you turn it off does it turn itself back on / how long has this been happening?

Alan <><  it varies when it turns itself on, sometimes its straight away or its like a minute later,
and its been happening for over half a year now.Check your settings in Control Panel Power Management...i'll bet you have it set to hibernate on power down and then something wakes it randomly...i have CHECKED the power options and i don't have the hibernation onIf you are connected to a router, check the settings for the NIC card. Make sure to disable "wake on lan".how would i be able to check the settings on the NIC card for the router??The NIC card is in your machine.
