Answer» When I TURN the computer on it has a black screen that says "We apologize for the inconvenience but windows did not START automatically...." etc. I have seen this screen before, like if you don't SHUT it down properly (which i didn't). So then it goes to start windows normally and the XP graphic shows up, then it goes to a blue screen with: STOP: c0000218 {Registry FILE Failure} The registry cannot load the hive (file): \SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE or its log or alternate. It is corrupt, absent, or not writable. Beginning dump of physical memory Physical memory dump complete Contact your system ADMINISTRATOR or technical support group for further assistance. And then it just sits there with that screen! This is very bad!
