Solve : computer won't go beyond the Gateway logo screen? |

Answer» I have a Gateway omputer with windows xp. My HUSBAND uses this computer so it doesn't get updated much. LAST night I did updates and it was to shut down after they completed. This morning the computer would not go beyond the Gatewat logo SCREEN. I tried booting from the operating disc and I still could not go beyond the Gateway logo. I took it apart and cleaned it with air and made surte that nothing was loose. I also tried taking out one of the RAM chips (there are two 256 mb modules) and put it back together and tried starting it that way. Still nothing. I had this computer restored by the Geek Squad last year. Is there ANYTHING that I can do or has this computer bit the dust?Try booting to the XP CD and choosing the SECOND repair option (do a repair install). |
