Answer» My computer had been working, and last week, whenever I turn it on, it continually cycles from the Windows logging in screen to the dos STARTUP screen and will never completly log in? I need to know what is causing this and what i can do to correct it. Also, I have an E-machine hard drvie that will not work with a Dell monitor, any IDEAS on why that would be happening?hey pamipj. were gonna need some more information here. 1. computer specs (harddrive, operating system, etc.) 2. can it boot in safe mode? ( by tapping F8 while ur computer starts) 3. what are the recent events leading up to this (opening emails, downloading,etc) and as for the hardive/monitor problem, i have never heard of a hard drive not working with a monitor. it might be ur video CARD. please be more SPECIFIC of the problem and use correct terms.
