Answer» It burns jpg slideshows just fine, complete with MP3S. But it has stopped burning you tube videos. Anyone have a clue? Thanks in advance. You mean it used to and now it does not? What changed? My 'guess' is Youtube has changed, you have to have 'ownership rights' I haven't a clue as to what could have changed, but that You Tube has made some CHANGES is probably the most likely thing. Thanks, fellas. I should have stated that I have no problem capturing and downloading the videos. The ones I want to burn are right here in a directory on my computer. They just won't burn. If that should make a difference. W7.So, this topic is closed? Here is a recent item that may shed some light on this. It implies that it is not easy to save and record You Tube video for some reason. http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-download-youtube-videos/ How to download YouTube videos By Brandon Widder — March 5, 2013 Quote DisclaimerThat says it. EDIT: MS has to ENFORCE DRM rules. Another burner may skip this.As stated, I have no problem downloading the videos and can view them here on my machine. As to burning them for enjoyment later, that is a legal gray area. However, it is difficult to understand why it would be, unless you were making copies for others. After all, You Tube provides us with a link where we can display the video on any web page we want. That pretty much makes the video available to anyone. You may skip the part below which is simply why I want the videos.... I don't feel like a pirate.... I have maybe 250 CDs, bought and paid for. From these I have extracted and formed my music collection. I call this my PRIME collection - it's pieces that I can forever listen to and never grow tired of. The total is about 1000 songs. Converted to mp3s, I go to this collection when I want to add music to any device for whatever purpose - an auto trip, etc. When I discovered You Tube I saw another way to enjoy my music collection. So I set out to find my CD selections as videos on the tube. I have a 63inch tv, and it is quite pleasant to sit back and see/listen to my stuff with the added dimension of sight. Sturgeon's Law states that 95% of any genre' is crud. And that applies to opera also - the music I listen to most. You-Tube is a sweet source of that 5% I love. I won't curl up and die if I can't ever get any more, as I have burned off about 75% of the collection. However, getting the remainder to video would be nice. Thanks for the help, guys. W |
