Answer» hi; my hp pavilion dv1000 cooling fan isn't working, it runs at the beginning and after 3,4 seconds stops. the notebook gets too hot and stops working can anybody helpSounds LIKE you should not run the machine until you get the fan replaced. If you are not on a service PLAN than you will NEED to take it to a computer shop to have it looked at.... Try removeing it CLEANING out the dust and reconnect it. My FATHER had to deal with an issue like that the other week so it mite be dust boggled.
