Try deleting iconcache.db in your profile folder. It is a hidden file so you will have to have hidden files showing. Log off or reboot after deleting. Windows should REBUILD the file.Hello, 2k_dummy,
I have already tried to delete the iconcache.db file in my profile folder. This file is also corrupt. What should I do about this other problem?
Roberta Concord, New HampshireDid you successfully delete the file? I'm not sure what you mean by "this other problem". Please explain. No, 2k_dummy, I did not successfully delete the file. To delete the file, I could not find it in my personal computer. For example, windows application icons are picture files like the tiny IMAGES on the desktop

What makes you think they are corrupt? Hello, Soybean,
You asked, "What makes you think they are corrupt?" My answer to your question about this is that the the windows application icons are no long pictures ANYMORE now. For some reason, they corrupted from my computer. How do I get them back?
