Solve : Could not srart Windows after malware removal?

Answer»

Last night I scanned my PC with Malwarebyte's and it detected some trojans.
After I select the removal option and restart my PC, it keep restarting AF the Windows logo page.

I don't quite understand what will this fix do.
Do you mind to explain?

I don't want to mess up my registry and create more problems.
I do trust you but I'm interested to know what's the solution means.

Please do not post malware queries/logs on any FORUM other than the Computer Viruses and Spyware forum where C.Hope authorised malware removal specialists will assist you. Go here.

Good luck.Dusty, I believe this is more related to Windows (registry) and not malware, that's why I posted here and not there.Okay, the fact your problem MANIFESTED itself after using MalwareBytes may be a SIMPLE coincidence.

Perhaps your system is Blue Screening. Reboot and hold down F8. If asked to select a boot device opt for the hard drive. When a list of boot options is displayed select "Disable automatic restart on system failure".

If a BSOD is displayed please post the relevant details including the Stop Code.

Hope you have backup for your registry.

In the Malwarebytes' scanned result, only 3 out of 7 are related to registry keys, which I judged as safe, and unchecked for removal.

There is no blue screen. When Malwarebytes' prompted me for reboot in order for the removal process to be completed, it keep rebooting at the Windows logo stage.

Yes I do have a registry backup, and Malwarebytes' created a restore point as well.

I went into Safe Mode and perform a System Restore and now it's running fine again.

Thanks.Excellent news. Thanks for coming back to report your success.

D.Not perfect though.

The System Restore messes up my graphic softwares (CorelDraw & Adobe Creative Suite).
Some features are giving me errors. Can't reinstall due to some errors.
Gotta spend some times manually tackling them.

Cheers.
Oh dear. The System Restore may have restored a 'bad' system, perhaps before you removed malware. I still recommend a trip to the Virus and Malware forum, you can always return here should you need assistance once those excellent C.Hope Authorised Malware Removal Specialists are satisfied that your system is malware free.

Remember that the more you do the more complex the corrective procedures may become.

Good luck.
