Many thanks............Sunagor What did you do b efore this problem? (hardware, software, installs, downloads, ect...)lol yeah ok

IF you can get to your desktop at all before this error comes up, try this:

Get a copy of the latest driver for your video card, or use what you already have if it is the latest. Uninstall your existing driver installation and REBOOT. Run the latest driver installation. If its a software problem with the existing driver installation you should be fine. Hi Carbon and Win

I just love the internet........people are so generous the thier time.

Thanks guys for your replys.

Carbon.... I can't think what I have done that might have caused this.It happened a couple of months AGO and I am doing this on my lap top.I did try all the available restore points.Do you think if I uninstalled all the programs ONE by one it might help ?

Win.....sorry about this but I'm a complete idgit regarding all this. Would you be kind enough to explain in more detail your solution.Where and how would I get the latest driver ? and how do I uninstall my existing driver installation ?

Many thanks................SunagorWith the internet, I found this:

Thanks Carbon ............LOOKS like this will do the trick.

Since this first happened I have now gone wireless and successfully run two laptops. However when I disconnect the router to plug in in the modem I cant get on line in the safe mode on my PC. Should the light for the usb and the asdl be on ?.At the moment it is only the usb light. How do I get the asdl light to come on and hence allow me to go online ?

Thanks again for your help and I'm sorry I don't know more about these things.

Did you try Safe Mode With Networking?Yes it was with networking..........is there anything else I should do ?
Thanks Sunagor Does it work in Normal Mode?Hi Carbon

Windows will only open in safe mode. I am currently opening it with safe mode with networking.

I am now trying to get onto the internet.

However when I disconnect the router to plug in in the modem I cant get on line in the safe mode on my PC. Should the light for the usb and the asdl be on ?.At the moment it is only the usb light. How do I get the asdl light to come on and hence allow me to go online ?

Thanks ....Sunagor
Download the driver file on another computer, put it on a DISK or memry stick and load it on your disfunctional computer. Remove your old driver as described in the link and install the new one. That should work. That sounds great SuperDave.............I'll give it a whirl and get back to you
Thanks for that.........Sunagor...
