Answer» This is my first ever post on this forum so bare with me. Want me to post the GPU temps? If so Quote And I don't understand the blue screen link you sent me... I will look harder into it until you reply back and I will say if I found it (and post the blue screen reports). Sorry...the download LINKS are at the bottom of the page. DIRECT link: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/bluescreenview_setup.exeHow do I actually post a blue screen report, is there a link anywhere on this program that I can post here so you can see? EDIT: I double click 1 of them from the list at the top and a list of information comes up (there are only 2 posted at the top as I have only had 2 blue screens of death so far)Just copy down the contents of the blue screen error and type it here1: Dump File:080910-20872-01.dmp Crash Time:09/08/2010 19:51:51 Bug Check String: Bug Check Code:0x00000116 Parameter 1:fffffa80`060da4e0 Parameter 2:fffff880`101cacf8 Parameter 3:00000000`00000000 Parameter 4:00000000`00000002 Caused By Driver:dxgkrnl.sys Caused By Address:dxgkrnl.sys+5cef8 File Description: Product Name: Company: File Version: Processor:x64 Computer Name: Full Path:C:\Windows\Minidump\080910-20872-01.dmp Processors Count:4 Major Version:15 Minor Version:7600 2: Dump File:080910-20202-01.dmp Crash Time:09/08/2010 18:30:54 Bug Check String: Bug Check Code:0x00000116 Parameter 1:fffffa80`08d6c4e0 Parameter 2:fffff880`101b2cf8 Parameter 3:00000000`00000000 Parameter 4:00000000`00000002 Caused By Driver:dxgkrnl.sys Caused By Address:dxgkrnl.sys+5cef8 File Description: Product Name: Company: File Version: Processor:x64 Computer Name: Full Path:C:\Windows\Minidump\080910-20202-01.dmp Processors Count:4 Major Version:15 Minor Version:7600 VIDEO_TDR_ERROR: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff557263%28VS.85%29.aspx Most likely cause in my experience is the GPU overheating.I went on check for solutions in Control Panel (following that webby kinda) and it says 46 errors have occured, by the looks that's how many times my computer has turned off and it says because of a program called: WD-20100812-2217.dmp sysdata.xml WERInternalMetadata.xml on every error. Anything I COULD do to somehow get rid of this device or might I need it?Can I just ask 1 question though, can I fix this problem at home or would it be quicker to send it off for repairs? Few details I might not have said about the system: Display Driver crashing often Graphics getting a bit messed up (colours completely change) Models seem to get distorted randomly Screen flashing Screen going fussy during games 4 Blue screens now Anything else I come across I will keep you informed on.Just to confirm - you have the latest nvidia driver for your card and the latest direct-x release, correct? (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/resultsForProduct.aspx?displaylang=en&productID=9C954C37-1ED1-4846-8A7D-85FC422D1388) What is your OS? Have you checked for a bios flash? Have you tried a "clean boot"?Yep newest Graphics Card installed. Packard Bell iPowerx2.0 Bios Flash - I haven't a clue what this is. Clean Boot - same again, but it seems to be a technical problem with my Graphics card, overheating is not a problem either.Quote from: Eetio on August 15, 2010, 02:37:53 PM Packard Bell iPowerx2.0 I mean Windows 7 |
