Answer» It WOULD be cool to have a hidden account on a PC. Use your imagination. For Windows 7 8 and 10 it is documented. Hide User Accounts on Windows 7 Logon But not for Windows XP. So, Can it be done in XP? CURIOUS readers need to know. YES...Thank you Patio. Works exactly as I wanted it too.
I have two user accounts, one hidden. Neither has password. When I power on it logs into the account that was not hidden.
Later, it I want the other account, I do a log off. At the login just one account is visible. I hit ctrl+alt+del and get the alternative log in screen where I can type in the hidden account name. Then It GOES into the hidden account . Easy.
This lets me start my PC automatically in the morning before I get out of bed.
