Answer» Hi everyone "New Member" WIN XP COMPAQ Cptr SR 1110NX 759 Ram CPU Intel celeron D325 2533 MHz. Not sure if I am in the right category but having problem with AVG Anti-Virus free edition v 8.0.173. Unable to do an update as am getting a message "Invalid update control CTF FILE". Has been working fine last year or so but all of a sudden this message began showing up. Can anyone advise how to proceed. ThanksPersonally, I was AVG user for number of years. I got so fed up with 8.0 version, since the very beginning, that I simply SAID "Goodbye", and installed Avast on my main machine, and Avira on others. You're not the FIRST one with AVG update problem.
