Answer» hi, i TRIED to FORMAT my laptop after the OS got corrupt and failed to take me to my user account. i had a windows xp cd when i inserted in drive and pressed F2 it took me to bios but it did not ask me to boot from cd. pls help . Fauzia.Go back into the bios and in the section for boot order place the cd at the TOP of the list. Now insert the xp cd in the drive and REBOOT. DO NOT PRESS F2 to READ the cd.
