Answer» Hello all,
I just recently got a new laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium installed. After searching through many of the help files and trying different settings, I just can't SEEM to find a way to customize the Vista Classic Start Menu like I can with Windows XP.
I like to keep all the applications in my own custom order on all my computers so that I can easily find them when switching from on computer to another.
Is there any way of being ABLE to organize the menu according to my liking?
Thanx in advance, Cheers, ziggy1971 you are WANTING to pin items to the start up menu?
it does that to your most used items right click on them and tell them to 'unpin' themselves then find the programs you want and it should stay that way.
clicking and dragging should reorder them unless you have it already locked.
Is this what you are wanting to do or you are looking for a way to VISUALLY customise the start menu?Hi NOT ADMIN
I just looked at the "Classic Start Menu" and I don't see any of the options you listed. They are available in the Default Start Menu though.
Thanx for the info, Cheers, ziggy1971 I found this video showing you how to make Vista look like Vista.
