Answer» My computer recently was acting WHACK, and it would FREEZE when I'd try to scan for viruses or anything. I tried safe mode, but then it just went to a blank screen, and would just stay there.
So I thought ok nothing important in there I'll just wipe everything with my windows disk and reinstall windows, ok so I go through the whole process of reinstalling windows BUT all of a sudden it freezes half way ok so I thought alright just try doing again, but my friend suggested I do a full wipe of the partitions on my computer and make a new one and FORMAT it to NTFS.
So I did that and reformatted, and then when it reboots after formatting I get a FREAKING BLACK SCREEN!. Then I tried reformatting one more time, and then it gets another BLACK SCREEN COME ON *censored*!!!!!!. So I go back into windows install, and I just see that its been formatted, and I'm like OK SWEET now I'll just install windows and I'll get a fresh start, but NO as soon as the bar gets to 100% I get a god forsaken BLACK SCREEN OMG COME ON.
So guys basically I have NO Idea what's going on, and i would love it if you guys could help me because I don't have a reset button on my computer STUPID DELL I HATE YOU. So I've repeatedly had to just plug my power cable out, and I'm worried its gonna hurt my computer, So please give me a good solution
THANK YOU.try it again and select the non-quick method, theres a quick method and a slower method , if you still get a black screen maybe just try waiting for it? to reply for your non quick method thing.
When I reformatted I ALWAYS Chose the NON quick method, and I would still get the black screen lol. There's more than likely a problem with your memory or hard drive. Check them.it did say when I was actually able to start windows sometime it did say that my hard drive was about to fail, but I've only had for about a year, HOW COULD IT HAVE FAILED ALREADY. Seriously I'm never buying a dell ever again.HDD can fail after only one week of usage. Go the site of your HDD and download a diagnostic program to check your HDD. You could also download a program to check your CPU. Hi David, I bought a brand new HP computer last year Mod. 8180a paid heaps for it and after three weeks the whole system crashed. Why? Because the mother board was, to use a farming espression, 'a pile of manure'! and had to be REPLACED. now it's good. So I guess that it isn't just dell that can have problems. cheers and good luck, babsYeah, that's definately the HDD then. And a year is PLENTY of time for it to fail.Open the box and get the model number for the hard drive than go on the web site for the manufacture and download the tools for it. The OFFER a drive scanner to check and see if the drive is really bad or not.
If it checks out good than go to.....
